Graduation Thesis Discussion

The Faculty of Dentistry at LUIC conducted graduation thesis sessions for fifth-grade students from June 24 to June 26, 2024. The event was monitored by Dr. Ranj Nadhim, Director of the Graduation Project, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jafar Naghshbandi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.

The graduation research projects were evaluated by specialised committees. In order to guarantee a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of each project, these committees were designated according to their respective disciplines. The committees offered valuable recommendations and conducted comprehensive evaluations to improve the quality of the students’ research.

Faculty of Dentistry The first studies regarding the establishment of Faculty of Dentistry began in 2009. With the initiative of Prof. Dr. Zafer Paykoç, who was the Dean of level Up Faculty of Medicine at the time, the board of professors held a meeting on 15.03.2009 and with decision numbered 209, it was decided to establish the School of Dentistry affiliated to Level Up College Faculty of Medicine. The opening of the School of Dentistry affiliated to the Faculty of Medicine was approved by the board of professors of Level Up College Faculty of Medicine with decision numbered 429 dated 05.11.2009 Senate deemed the decision dated 12.11.2009 and numbered 2624 appropriate

The dental clinic in the building currently reserved for the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and the old eye clinic adjacent to it were combined and the necessary changes were made to become departmental dentistry clinics. An advertisement was placed in the daily newspapers dated 10.11.2009 for the first students. 10 students who had previously passed the examination held at Hacettepe University but had not taken it and 11 students who had left the Military Academy were accepted, and a total of 21 students were registered to FKB.
