On November 23, 2023, partnered with the Conscious Planet Organization to conduct a workshop at the Congress Hall. The workshop was specifically designed for first-stage university instructors who teach the subject of ‘university work environment.’ Led by university faculty, volunteers, and environmental experts, the event aimed to actively engage students in the ‘Save Soil’ campaign. This global initiative, supported by over 4 billion individuals from 84 nations, aims to safeguard the soil from environmental threats. The workshop’s objective is to integrate the Kurdistan Region into this widespread effort against environmental destruction.

In a welcome speech, the university president stated that is pleased to hold the largest scientific event, which is the sixth symposium of excellent papers, everyone is witnessing that the fields of scientific research have seen a great progress and development and is growing day by day.Therefore, this development is necessary to be ranked with international standards, in terms of strong impact and publication in accredited international and high-level journals, which is a great responsibility of the researchers and universities. The College president, professor Dr.Kosar, further added that due to our sense of responsibility to further encourage researchers, we want to honor a number of talented and active researchers, who through their research results can provide a great service to our society, and through their excellent research, they will elevate the scientific field in our country to a better level.
Afterwards, in a seminar, Assistant Professor Dr. Halgurd Dr. Shilan Ali Hamasur from Sulaimani University and Professor Dr. Ahmad Kazim from Babylon University delivered several scientific presentations on the strength of writing and publishing scientific research.
, in partnership with the Bridge Organization, also known as ´The Bridge Center for Training and Human Development,´ organized a two-day workshop with the primary focus of introducing the Bologna Process to attendees. The participants included representatives from various Iraqi universities. This workshop occurred at the and spanned from October 17th to 19th, 2023. The presenter for this workshop was Assistant Prof. Dr. Abid K. Rasul, the Dean of the College of Political Science. Towards the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed to the participants by Assistant Prof. Dr. Zana M. Hassan, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies.
The 4th International Conference on Education and Teaching (ICET 2024), themed “Global Classroom: Embracing Innovation and Challenges,” will take place from November 25–27, organized by Stirling Schools and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. As a lead-up to this main event, the University of Sulaimani, in collaboration with United Science, will host the Pre-ICET Educational Symposium on November 11.
The symposium will feature two key panel discussions:
